Breast Augmentation for Aging, Major Weight Loss, Cancer Patients, Deformities

Aging

As we get older, the underlying tissues that plump up our skin and keep us looking youthful begin to break down. This leads to sagging of the breasts. Childbirth and weight loss can contribute to the droopy look by causing loss of volume.

We may not be able to stop from aging, but we don’t have to go quietly. What woman has not wished for a magic procedure that could remove fat from one area of her body and put it somewhere else where she needed a bit of a lift? That dream is now a reality.

Autologous fat transfer for breast augmentation will return your breasts to a more youthful shape and feel.  Fat transfer is performed by using a procedure similar to liposuction to remove fat from unwanted areas and inject it into the breast.

You will love the natural look of your breasts.  It is safe, quick and less painful than traditional breast implants.  Studies have shown that it does not interfere with breastfeeding or mammograms.

Jessica Moore's Story

33-year-old Jessica Moore of Palm Harbor remembers the light bulb moment in her life that changed everything. She tipped the scale at 300 pounds, but by eating healthy and working out she dropped 140 pounds. Moore says, unfortunately, her bra size changed drastically too.

"I lost all the weight and it was just empty skin."

Moore decided to undergo liposuction fat transfer to the breast. Dr. Cappiello successfully performed the procedure. Moore's procedure took 8 hours. She went in on a Friday and was back at work on Monday.

Cancer Patients, Breast Asymmetry and Deformities

Autologous fat transfer is a safe and natural way to perform breast augmentation. This is a very low risk procedure that only requires general anesthesia. Recovery time is minimal with patients usually returning to their normal activities within 3 days. Complications are rare because you are using fat from your own body. There is little to no risk of infection.

Breast augmentation by fat transfer can correct breast asymmetry and deformities. With this procedure there is no distortion of the breast tissue. This type of breast augmentation will not interfere with breast cancer detection through mammogram.  Fat transfer is an effective treatment for breast reconstruction and for filling the breast after the removal of an implant.

The future of fat transfer following a lumpectomy or radiation therapy is still being investigated. Consider this natural procedure as an alternative or in conjunction with traditional breast augmentation and reconstruction. It is far less invasive, causes less pain and requires less recovery time. Dr. Cappiello can help you determine what the right procedure is for you. Call him for a free consultation.
