Using Your Own Fat for Breast Enlargement (or Boob Job)

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could take fat from unwanted places on your body and put it somewhere else? Someplace that could use a little boost? Women have been saying this for years, and now it is a reality with autologous fat transfer.

Fat can now be removed from unwanted areas on the body and injected into other areas to help shape and contour problem spots. One of those areas is the breast. The fat is then treated and injected into the breast. All of this will be done using a local anesthesia. The anesthesia will last 18-36 hours. Most patients require only Tylenol for pain when they leave the center.

This type of breast augmentation is often used for women who would like to regain volume after child birth or women who would like to gain one or two cup sizes. If more volume is desired, the procedure can be repeated. Because of the gentle nature of the surgery, recovery time is minimal and allows for repeat procedures to be done soon after the first. This type of breast enlargement requires no incisions. There will be no scarring to hide as there is with traditional breast augmentation.
