With this type of facelift it is common for patients to have surgery on Thursday and return to work on the following Tuesday. The medium facelift is also known as the “mini lift.” This is because it is also a less invasive surgery than a larger facelift. The mini lift is appropriate for patients who are experiencing more moderate signs of aging.

The larger facelift is a more comprehensive surgery and can involve surgery of the face and neck. This is for people who are experiencing a more advanced stage of aging.

The traditional facelift is sometimes a scary prospect for patients as they usually entail anesthesia and incisions but today’s facelift is much less invasive. Dr. Cappiello uses local tumescent anesthesia and only minimal incisions.

Incisions for the weekend lift are small and made in front of the ear only, hidden in the hair. Incisions for the mini lift and the larger face lift are small and made in front of and behind the ear, also hidden in the hairline.

Dr. Cappiello performs a multiple layer lift which means the skin and the deeper layers are tightened. This results in a longer lasting facelift.
